What you expect at Tamworth Canoe Club?
We pride ourselves on being a friendly, family oriented club, welcoming everyone that has an interest in paddlesport, whether it is just recreational or more serious.
Every Wednesday we meet at 7.50pm in the viewing gallery of the swimming pool at The Snowdome Centre in Tamworth. We run 3 x 40min pool sessions : 8.00pm till 8.40pm, 8.40pm till 9.20pm and 9.20pm till 10.00pm. Coaches are available throughout these sessions to help you impove your strokes and learn more about the sport.
We have everything you need to take part available at the club, both for pool and river use. If you want to bring your own boat to pool sessions, as many members do, it's no problem. Bring it into the viewing gallery and we will pass it over the barriers into the pool area. We do ask that the boats are cleaned thoroughly and any airbags which could trap debris are removed. We cannot accomodate open canoes on pool sessions, there simply isn't sufficient access or space.
PLEASE NOTE: We only have boats to cater for people upto 20 stones
