Whilst on a trip to the upper Tryweryn James managed to put his boat down by the river oh soooo gently
that it bounced down the bank and into the water.
Now that on its own doesn’t seem much but ……

Having completed a run the group was carrying their kayaks back up to the top.
Wade and Pete were almost there, when they heard John, ahead of them, laughing and start pointing at the river. What was so funny?
Looking upriver there was James’ kayak heading down, but James wasn’t in it! John had been following James and AJ; he saw AJ put his boat down on the bank and James then dropped his by it, but it bounced, then bounced again and off it went, down the bank and into the river. Pete and Wade had to jump into their boats and chase it downstream. |

At the top AJ watched, with James stunned and stationary! AJ to James James to AJ “Who me?” It was only then that James started his marathon run down the bank. Did he think it was going to bounce back out on its own as well? |
